Bowery Valuation is aware of an ongoing fraudulent scheme in which bad actors are impersonating our company to deceive job seekers. We are issuing this official statement to inform the public and protect those who may have been targeted.

Fraudulent individuals have been conducting a coordinated spoofing campaign in which they falsely represent themselves as Bowery Valuation employees or recruiters. These individuals have been:
Conducting outreach related to open positions at Bowery Valuation that do not exist;
Conducting fraudulent interviews with unsuspecting job candidates;
Extending fraudulent job offers to candidates; and
Collecting sensitive personal information from candidates under false pretenses.
The perpetrators have been using the following names when posing as Bowery Valuation representatives:
Matthews Norman
Glenn Urban
Kate Hudson
These individuals are not employed by Bowery Valuation and have no affiliation with our company. Note that there could be other names not listed here; these are the known names at this time.
Communications from these bad actors may appear to originate from hr@boweryvaluation.com. This is a spoofed display address. The actual sending address behind these emails is hrboweryvaluation.com@hrboweryvaluation.com, which is operated by the fraudsters and has no connection to Bowery Valuation. Bowery Valuation does not use, own, or operate the domain hrboweryvaluation.com.
The perpetrators have also established a fraudulent website hosted on Hostinger.com that impersonates Bowery Valuation. Additionally, they have posted fake job listings on Handshake, a job search platform, in an effort to recruit victims. Neither the website nor any associated job postings are affiliated with or authorized by Bowery Valuation.
Bowery Valuation has not engaged in any conversations, interviews, or communications regarding employment with any individuals who were contacted through the channels described above. We have not extended any job offers through these individuals or platforms, and any such offers are entirely fraudulent.
If you believe you have been contacted by these fraudulent actors, we urge you to:
Cease all communication with the individuals in question;
Not provide any additional personal, financial, or sensitive information;
Report the activity to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at reportfraud.ftc.gov; and
File a report with your local law enforcement agency.
All legitimate communications from Bowery Valuation will originate from email addresses ending in @boweryvaluation.com. Our official careers page and all open positions can be verified at boweryvaluation.com. If you have any questions about whether a communication is legitimate, please contact us directly through our official website.
We take this matter seriously and are actively working to address the situation. We deeply regret any harm or inconvenience caused to those who have been targeted.
