Senior Managing Director
James Dunne, MAI, is the Senior Managing Director of Bowery Valuation’s Pacific Northwest office. James originally joined Bowery in May 2017 as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Appraiser. After leaving Bowery in January of 2023, he started Next Valuation, a boutique valuation and consulting firm that operated until June of 2025 when Next joined forces with Bowery and James rejoined the company to manage the Pacific Northwest.
James has worked in the real estate industry since 2002 and has been appraising since 2009. Before building Next Valuation and joining Bowery, James served as a Vice President at CBRE in their Valuation and Advisory Services group in New York City.
James’ experience spans a wide range of property types including multifamily, office, industrial, self-storage facilities, retail centers, mixed-use properties, and development sites. He has also been engaged to perform a variety of consulting assignments. His clients include commercial banks, pension funds, private equity, government institutions, attorneys and developers.
James is a specialist in the valuation of complex transactions involving low-income housing properties, including ground-up LIHTC-funded developments, Year-15 portfolios, Section 8 HAP properties, Section 202, Section 236 RAD-conversion projects and Mitchell-Lama buildings.
James began his real estate career at a local brokerage in Brooklyn, then as an Associate Broker with The Corcoran Group in Brooklyn before moving into commercial real estate valuation at the boutique appraisal firm Miller Cicero in Manhattan.

Senior Vice President
Lyzabeth Cui, MAI, is a Senior Vice President at Bowery Valuation who joined the firm in August 2025. She began her real estate career as a residential realtor, specializing in working with EB5 investors from China to identify properties with high-value appreciation and strong rental performance. She transitioned to commercial real estate valuation to leverage her combined expertise in quantitative analysis and real estate.
Her valuation experience includes vacant land, office, industrial, multifamily, and a range of special purpose properties such as veterinary clinics, auto dealerships, religious facilities, and laboratories. Lyzabeth brings a global perspective to her work and is focused on delivering thorough and data-driven analysis for clients across diverse property types.
Lyzabeth holds an M.S. in Real Estate with a concentration in Finance and Investment from the University of Washington, and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics with an emphasis in Scientific Computing and Numerical Analysis from the University of Washington.

Max Gassner is a Senior Valuation Associate at Bowery Valuation who joined the firm in July 2022. He is actively engaged in appraising a variety of commercial, mixed-use and multifamily properties in Washington.

He graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Data Science. Jacob ran a sub-3 hour marathon in 2024 and is currently training to qualify for the Boston Marathon and his first Ironman 70.3.

Daniel graduated from Portland State University with a Master of Science in Real Estate and earned Graduate Certificates in Real Estate Investment & Finance and Real Estate Development. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University.
